TREE series by myoung ho lee

myoung

TREE - some images shown above, cropped - is a series of photographs by Myoung Ho Lee:

"Trees are attractive objects in that they enable people to think philosophically and appreciate aesthetically. But too often, we don’t recognize the value of ordinary mundane objects around us. Seeing trees in a refreshing way or restoring the value of trees is to awaken all beings on earth in my work."

cirkelbroen by olafur eliasson

bridge

I was immediately drawn to the form of this bridge - overlapping circles and soft lines forming a beautiful geometric pattern. Cirkelbroen by Olafur Eliasson, designed for Christianshavns Kanal in Copenhagen, Denmark.

I sort read it as sails/birdcage/Christmas tree form/hoop skirt, but not in a bad way. Really, I love the form.

bank exterior by emmanuelle moureaux architecture

bank

This gorgeous bank exterior is comprised of simple detailing that creates a sweet, minimal aesthetic, and it borderlines looking like a trendy hot spot. The details really sold it to me, such as the square rainbow facade reflected in the pixelated parking lot and sidwalk surface - swoon!
