flake house by olgga architects
The Flake House by Olgga Architects is a transportable cabin that combines the rustic exterior of a log cabin with a minimal, modern interior. The separation of the two spaces allows for the end grain of the wood to provide its own aesthetic contribution, and also to hide the entrance doors.
It also looks totally sweet on the back of a semi.
The French architects' translated website described the piece as, "a "folly" which deftly combines low-tech and high tech. " The treatment of this niche is more poetic to a found object as an artefact." I think Google Translate got that right...?
